Perugia, the Umbria region's capital, is one of Italy’s best preserved medieval towns. Founded more than 2000 years ago, it has a long-standing cultural and artistic tradition, which continues to this day. A walk down the Piazza IV Novembre, the town's historic main square, will enable you to view the splendid facades of several medieval and Renaissance structures, including the town's large and majestic Cathedral . You may also visit the Palazzo dei Priori, one of Italy's most famous palaces, built in the 13th century from red and white marble, and which today serves as a cultural center with music festivals, live concerts, films and other cultural events taking place throughout the year.

50 km from Castel di Fiori.
